Jo Ranheim - Producer, recording- and mix engineer

Jo has gained knowledge of recording acoustic instruments, varying from smaller chamber groups to larger orchestras. He has also produced and engineered many artists within the singer/songwriter-tradition. When producing, Jo strives to make the artists and musicians feel comfortable so they can simply perform their best. He has an ability to find individual strengths in recording artists and highlighting these in the recording.

Kyrre Laastad - Producer, recording- and mix engineer

Kyrre Laastad joined Øra Studio in 2018. He boasts a long career as producer, engineer and musician.

When producing he works with the band or the artist to create a process that to as much as possible harmonizes with said music’s expression. He wants to create situations where the power of the music is the focal point of the session, and he always prioritizes the music’s intensity and energy over technical perfection. He wants to highlight what makes music unique and different.

Kyrre has worked with many artist and musicians including: Hans Stenøien, Jenny Hval, Lost Girls, Christian Winther, NSB, Johan Lindvall Trio, Tor Haugerud, Gåte, Moskus, Erlend Ropstad, Stina Stjern, Moon Relay, Maria Norseth Garli, MoE, Eirik Hegdal, John Pål Indeberg Trio mf.

 

Karl Klaseie - Mastering engineer - Øra mastering

Karl Klaseie has been a part of Øra Studio since 2015 and has been in the recording industry for over a decade. Karl is a positive and thorough mastering engineer who loves to help musicians, producers, mixers and record labels achieve great sounding masters. He specializes in making digital masters for streaming and download, as well as preparing production files for physical releases on vinyl, CD and cassette. 

Karl has worked with many artist and musicians including: Hegge, Gold Celeste, Gåte, Åge Aleksandersen, Trondheim Solistene, Haunted Mansions, Johndoe, Ósk, Kjetil Mulelid Trio, Masåva, Erlend Ropstad, Anders Jektvik, Karoline Wallace, Frode Alnæs, Wako, MMO-ensemble, Emilie Storaas, Kari Rueslåtten, MoE, Siri’s Svale Band, Drongo, Kari Harneshaug, Natalie Sandtorv, Sturla Eide, Jonas Ledang, Trondheim Jazzorkester, Ronny Kjøsen, Megalodon Collective, Yes Deer mf.

Mona Hynne - Producer, recording- and mix engineer

Mona Hynne has a master degree in music technology from NTNU, and has worked as a producer, recording- and mix engineer in Øra Studio since 2022. Through this period she has worked with numerous projects for Øra and she also brings her own project to the studio. 

Mona has worked with many artist and musicians including: PHØNIX, Trondheimsolistene, Amund Storløkken Åse Kvartett, Leirblaa, Tullkattesnutene, Mona Hynne, Archer, Main Street Revival, Blend Duo, Viggja Voices, Ukekoret Pirum mf.

 

Oda Sofie Aaring - Studio manager

Oda Sofie Aaring joined Øra in 2020 and has since then worked with the administrative part of the studio as well as initiating several projects for Øra Fonogram and Øra Studio. Oda has a close dialogue with potential recording artists and tailors packages for different projects and budgets. She collaborates closely with artists on projects where the whole production is done within Øra Musikk. From writing applications for funding to releasing music on Øra Fonogram. Oda has previously worked as a producer for Polar Artist and counselor for Tempo.

 

Kjetil Mulelid - Label manager - Øra Fonogram

Kjetil Mulelid likes to work with artists who deliver high quality work and focuses on Norwegian music within the genres jazz, singer/songwriter, children's music and contemporary music. Releases on Øra Fonogram should contribute with meaningful cultural expressions. Kjetil is an active musician himself and contributes creative suggestions to the labels releases when needed.
